The Drifter Hotel launched the Drifter Hotels brand in 2017 — a boutique concept built for the global nomad seeking curated, off-the-beaten-path experiences. Located in Mid-City New Orleans, the property features a signature pink motel aesthetic, a beloved outdoor pool and stage, and an art-forward guest experience.
The Drifter quickly became one of the most recognized boutique hotels in the country, winning numerous design and hospitality awards. The asset was subsequently sold following a successful stabilization, demonstrating strong returns for investors.
The Drifter Hotel was developed in partnership with CSM Investments and Sandstone Developments, with interiors designed by Nicole Cota Studio. The hotel is a member of Design Hotels by Starwood, connecting it to a global network of curated independent properties. Murals by Alexandra Kilburn, Scott Sturgill, and Butch Anthony define the property's visual identity. The project received the 2018 Louisiana Landmarks Society Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation.
