Maison de Krewe is a mixed-use hotel project in New Orleans, blending hospitality with the city's legendary Carnival culture. The property is designed to serve both as a boutique hotel for visitors and as a gathering place for the Mardi Gras krewe community.
The project demonstrates Kupperman's creative approach to programming — identifying niche markets and building hospitality experiences around genuine cultural traditions that are unique to New Orleans.
Maison de Krewe is anchored by KREWE's two-story flagship eyewear boutique and Patula, a neighborhood eatery and coffee shop. The building at Royal Street in the French Quarter dates to 1799 and was once home to U.S. President General Zachary Taylor. The project was completed in 2022 following a comprehensive historic restoration. Interior design by Olivia Erwin Rosenthal and architecture by Trapolin-Peer Architects, with general contracting by NFT Group.
